Messy Church – a time for food, fun, fellowship and faith-sharing. This group meets once a month on the second Saturday from 9.30 to 11.00 in St Mary’s Church. In a relaxed and informal way, we explore the stories and values of our Christian faith; and we support each other to develop a relationship with God.
Messy Church starts with breakfast, a time to sit together and catch up with news and views; this is followed by a series of creative activities – for example: craft, cooking, painting, glue and glitter, Lego building, reflections, quizzes, games and competitions; and it finishes with a bible story, a hymn and prayers. Each month there is a theme around which everything else is based.
The themes for Messy Church encourage an experiential sharing of transformative faith, with Jesus at the centre. Everyone is free to explore whatever they need and to ask questions.
Whether you are of any faith or none you are very welcome to join us. Come with your family and friends, come and make new friends.
